Clinical Pilates for rehabilitation and posture — Agadir

What is clinical Pilates?

Biomechanics and movement patterns are slightly different for every person. Every sport and every job requires different skills and muscle activation. When it comes to injury prevention and skill development, each person's needs are slightly different. Clinical Pilates is one-on-one or small-group Pilates supervised by a physiotherapist.

How do clinical Pilates exercises work?

With Pilates, you train the core muscles around your spine. Pilates focuses solely on you, and we'll make sure you maintain the best possible technique. That way you can recover from your condition as soon as possible. Pilates exercises target the appropriate level for you and your pain, and are progressed when possible and tolerated.

What is clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is an exercise method that combines the traditional Pilates approach with modern research in biomechanics and rehabilitation. Supervised by a physiotherapist, it strengthens the deep muscles of the core and spine, corrects postural imbalances and prevents injury. At Gouizine Clinic in Temsia (Agadir), every session is individualized to your morphology and goals.

Benefits of clinical Pilates

  • Deep muscle strengthening (core, pelvic floor, transverse abdominis)
  • Postural correction and relief from back pain
  • Pelvic and spinal stability
  • Improved joint mobility and flexibility
  • Coordination, balance and proprioception
  • Prevention of sports and work-related injuries
  • Recovery after injury or surgery

Who is clinical Pilates for?

Unlike group Pilates classes, our clinical approach suits all profiles, including:

  • Patients in post-surgical rehabilitation (back, hip, knee, shoulder)
  • People with chronic pain in the back or neck
  • Athletes who want to prevent injuries or improve performance
  • Pregnant women and post-partum (with adaptation)
  • Seniors who want to maintain balance and independence
  • Office workers with sedentary-related tension

How a session unfolds

Every program begins with a postural and functional assessment by Houda or Noureddine Gouizine. A personalized exercise program is then built, in individual sessions of 45 to 60 minutes. Clinical Pilates is practiced on the mat or with small accessories (resistance bands, balls, rollers). Plan on 8 to 12 sessions for lasting results.

Clinical Pilates pairs naturally with physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation.
